James Robinson
James Robinson is a Public Affairs Manager for EMBARQ. He handles public, community and governmental relations for the telecommunications company, which was formerly a part a Sprint, in New Jersey. Mr. Robinson has extensive experience in government and public service. He was President of the Hunterdon Museum of Art in Clinton, NJ and President of Hunterdon Helpline, and continues to serve on the board of both of those organizations. He recently joined the Board of Volunteer Guardianship One on One, Inc., a volunteer guardianship organization in Flemington. He is on the Executive Board of the Drumthwacket Foundation, the board that oversees the Governor's Mansion in Princeton. He is Chairman of the Drumthwacket Gala Committee and is Vice Chairman of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the North Hunterdon Rotary and was appointed by the Hunterdon County Board of Freeholders to the Hunterdon Workforce Investment Board. He serves on the Government Relations Committee of NJ Business and Industry Association. Mr. Robinson is a former President of Hunterdon Prevention Resources. He was a Vice President of Hunterdon Economic Partnership and served as Vice President of the Hunterdon County United Way. He served as Chairman of the Hunterdon Medical Center's Golf Classic. He has been the president of the homeowner's association for the community in which he lives for 25 years. He is a former member of the Sayreville Board of Education and a former member and longtime Chairman of the Sayreville Planning Board. He served as President of New Jersey Planning Officials and was a frequent moderator or panelist at land use conferences throughout New Jersey. Mr. Robinson served on the Middlesex County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) and was appointed to the NJ Legislative Task Force to Study Homeowners' Associations. He previously served as the Chief of Staff the Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly and as a Confidential Aide to the Middlesex County Freeholder Director. He was a spokesman for the NJ Turnpike Authority. He attended Monmouth College and has attended public relations and campaign organization and fundraising courses at Kent State University in Ohio and the American University in Washington, DC. He was a Fellow of Leadership NJ, class of 2005. He has run several successful political campaigns at the local and state levels, and has done extensive political fundraising.
